There are lots of rodders in New Zealand and Australia and we were happy to get this story about Shane Oldfield and his very cool 32.
HISTORY it was built in 1979 in by Phil foothead in Carterton as a show/go car very strong and did the best burnouts in his club then went through several owners before i brought it in 2004 over phone! ! arrived to pick up the car, and the old owner asked "what shipper is picking up "i said "i am driving home ", he said "i have never taken it out of town " ! So off home (800 miles )on a wing and a preyer two break downs later and no sleep for two days still smiling got home .

BODY body is one of the first glass 32 roadsters in New Zealand
(glass with timber/ply bracing no steel )
CHASSIS home made 3x2 box including cross members 4 bar front/back
FRONT END 4" dropped and drilled i beam with flathead stubs and zephyr disc's
REAR END 9" with 4.11 gears STEERING vw kombi
MOTOR 1956 customline with triple 94's on berry&Chung(nz 60's speedparts) manifold T bird rocker covers,dagger dip stick
GEARBOX toploader out of mustang WHEELS 1956 customline rims with cross plys
NOW IT GETS USED ALL THE TIME ,and still gets people stopping and backing up for a better look ! LONG LIVE THE 50'S !
